Services

Two disciplines. One deadline that never moves.

We split our work into planning — the decisions made before December 31st — and preparation — the return itself, filed correctly and on time.

01

Tax Planning

Strategy work done during the year, while there's still time to act on it.

  • Quarterly estimated tax reviews
  • Withholding and W-4 checkups
  • Entity structure & small-business election guidance
  • Year-end planning ahead of December 31st
  • Coordination with your investment and retirement accounts
02

Tax Preparation & Filing

The return itself — prepared, reviewed, and filed with the IRS and the State of Texas.

  • Individual returns (Form 1040)
  • Small-business & self-employed returns
  • Prior-year returns & amendments
  • Electronic filing with IRS confirmation
  • Documentation review before anything is signed

How an engagement runs

01

Intake & Document Review

We start with a short conversation and a checklist tailored to your situation — income sources, prior returns, and anything that changed this year.

02

Planning Conversation

Before anything is filed, we walk through what the numbers mean — what you owe, what you can still do about it, and what to watch for next year.

03

Preparation & Internal Review

Merrit prepares or reviews every return personally before it goes out the door — no return is signed without a second look.

04

Filing & Confirmation

We e-file with the IRS and Texas taxing authorities and send you confirmation once it's accepted — plus a copy for your records.

Already Have a Wealth Advisor?

Your advisor and your CPA, comparing notes.

If Stewardship Wealth Management already manages your investments or retirement accounts, Merrit can see the full picture — contributions, distributions, and timing decisions — when she plans your return.

Work with someone else? That's completely fine — you don't have to move your accounts to Stewardship Wealth Management to work with us. We're glad to coordinate directly with your current advisor, attorney, or accountant.

Stewardship Wealth Management is not a CPA firm, and its services are not regulated by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
